Ethan's Senior Prom

Ethan and his girlfriend, Brisa, attended Prom last night.  Once arriving at the high school, the students were bused to the Ronald Reagan Library where the dance was being held!  He had a great time!

Laser Tag

Sports Day and Drum Lesson

Ashton and his 6th grade classmates had Sports Day on Thursday.  Kickball, handball, sideline soccer and dodgeball were played.  Ashton was on the green team and they came in 4th place out of 8 teams.  Ash even scored a goal!  He finished the afternoon off with a drum lesson since he was the only percussionist that showed up for band.  He had a blast!

Choir Festival

We attended a festival at our church where all the junior high and high school choirs in the Santa Clarita Valley performed for each other.  It was so great!

Aunt Sonja's CA visit

We had a lovely visit with Aunty Sonja this last weekend!  She was in California to help Uncle Rollo while Aunt Gretchen has knee surgery.  She got all caught up on each of the boys and heard a lot of music!

Fiddler on the Roof

My high school boys took me as their date to see Saugus High school's performance of "Fiddler on the Roof."  The pit orchestra was made up of some of their band mates.  I was really impressed with the show and the boys loved it, too!

Easter 2017

We had a lovely Easter!  We attended church and then had a great lunch with the grandparents.  No Easter egg hunts but there were baskets of chocolate!

Ashton's Class Field Trip

Ashton and his class went on a field trip to the Channel Islands Maritime Museum in Oxnard this week.  They boarded a boat and came face to face with sea stars, spiny sea urchins, and octupus!

Magic Mountain Family Day

We spent our last weekend of Spring Break at Magic Mountain.  We usually split up and Derrik takes the older boys to the crazy rides.  Ashton has always been my park buddy (and my tummy can barely handle rides anymore).  He's almost ready to do all the wild rides!  This trip around he tried the new virtual reality ride and had a blast!

Park Day

We spent our spring break at home.  We ate out, went to the park and relaxing at home.  It was nice!

Ethan Beach Trip

Ethan spent his senior spring break with friends in Ventura at a beach house!  There was a dad on site, making sure everything was safe.  Looks like there was even a boat trip!  He got to go boogie boarding everyday and had a great time.  He sent me only a few pictures.

Ethan Singing

Since Ethan has been a part of choir, he is fascinated with all choir music.  He loves finding music online, attempting to write his own, even watching musicals with me on the weekends!  After we got home from his birthday dinner, he started playing some of his favorites.  He played his very first choir piece for us, "Set Me as a Seal."  I actually helped him with this song way back in the fall when he was learning it.  He sang his final
bass note for us as well!

Ethan's 18th Birthday!

Ethan is officially 18!  We had a great celebration!  He opened presents in the morning and then headed to school.  Boo..... Then after school, we went to Thousand Oaks to go to the Melting Pot for birthday dinner.  Then Saturday, we celebrated one last time at the Grandparents house.
