Ashton's Band at Disneyland

The Advanced band took a trip to Disneyland on Friday!  They attended a recording session and learned to play several Disney tunes.  Derrik took the day off to go along and got to ride some rides with Ashton and his group.  Looks like fun!

Easter 2019

We had a great Easter with baskets filled with candy and presents, church service and lunch with family!

Ethan's Project

Ethan is half-way through his sound engineering program and turned in his first project.  He got it graded and shared his teacher's comments.

"Wow!  This is really good!  You did a great job on the sound design!  One of the best Sine-wave projects I've heard!"

SCSBOA Solo and Ensemble Festival

Cameron and his fellow woodwinds from the Wind Ensemble participated in the SCSBOA Ensemble Festival on Saturday!  They got a Superior rating and we were there to see it!

Cameron's new job

Cameron's has a new job!  He's been hired to work at church, doing was he already does on the weekends.  He's been hired as a tech assistant and works part time, assisting the tech directors and setting things up for services and special events.  He's thrilled!

Gustafson's visit!

Steve, Kristin and boys visited California this last week and we met them for dinner on Wednesday night!  It was great to see them!

Classified Employee of the Year Award

I was awarded a classified employee of the year at my school!  I was on the ballot but didn't expect to win.  It's a great honor!

We had a quiet Spring Break since I had to teach at my other school two days.  The boys played, rested, and Cameron even got to attend a field trip to LA with his Forensic Science class.  We are rested and ready to hit the last two months of school!

Ashton Open House

We attended Ashton's last open house at Arroyo Seco junior high!  We visited his classrooms and watch the band play a song.  We're proud of the hard work he's done.

Festival Band Performances

Cameron and Ashton's bands each performed at the SCSBOA Festival this past week!  Both bands did amazing with Cameron's Wind Ensemble earned an Superior rating and Ashton's Advanced Band earning an Excellent rating.  We're proud of them!

Ethan's 20th Birthday!

Ethan turned 20!  We had a great weekend celebrating him and he scored a Macbook air that he plans to use for his school work and career.
