Band Preview Concert

The Marching Centurions celebrated their two weeks of camp by holding a preview concert.  It was our last one!!  So fun to see and hear the band again.  We're gearing up for another big season and excited to enjoy our last one with Ashton.

Ethan's Band Concert

Following Mom Hubbard's party, we drove over to the Canyon for Ethan's band concert.  This was so special because Ethan and his band performed all of his own songs!  He did such a great job and we were so proud of him!

Trent and Joy visit and Mom's Celebration part 2

Trent and Joy flew into town to spent a few day with us!  They were also here to help us surprise Mom with a party.  While they distracted her, we were able to set up and decorate the clubhouse at her apartment for a surprise party with friends and neighbors!  She was surprised!

COVID outbreak in the band

There was a mild COVID outbreak in the marching band during camp.  Several students were out.  Ashton was feeling sick Friday morning and took a test - sure enough, he was positive.  He sailed right through it and was back after quarantining for five days and testing negative.  Since I was working around the students as well, I took one, too.  Mine was negative.  Thankful we had some tests at home.

Mom Hubbard 80th Birthday Celebration part 1

We missed Mom's 80th birthday while in KS so we went out to dinner to celebrate her.  Shh...there's another celebration coming!

Trip to KC and the airport

We spent our last morning at the lake packing up and hunting for Ethan's wallet.  We're guessing now that it was thrown away accidentally.  A missing ID meant we needed to get to the airport a little early to clear through TSA.  We did make a lovely stop before arriving at the airport to see another dear high school friend, Laura.  The boys were so patient with all of my "girl time" and did lots of shopping and browsing while I sat and talked.  We then made it to the airport and waited while Ethan was screened and searched.  He sailed through it like a champ and got to fly home with us!  lol  A very fun trip overall!

Band Camp and Eating out at home

Derrik and Ashton had a good time back at home.  I got lots of photos of them enjoying cheeseburgers!  Ashton started band camp Monday so we were cheering him on from Kansas.
