Tree decorating

We got our tree up!  With everyone's crazy schedules (mostly Ethan and Cameron), we never know when we'll all be home.  It's always so much fun to do this together!

Barnes and Noble Wrapping Fundraiser

Cameron and I helped out at the Barnes and Noble gift wrapping event on Friday.  Cameron is quite the salesman!  He ushered several people over to the table to get their books wrapped for a donation to the band and color guard.

Thanksgiving 2019

Thanksgiving time, already?  I contributed to the meal by making sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and cranberry-orange sauce.  We spent the afternoon with the grandparents and shared all the things we are thankful for!

Breakfast with Saugus

Our church hosted a Saugus breakfast event that we went to.  Very informal, but supportive.  Cameron also got to show us the work he does at Grace and some of the decorating he's done for Christmas.

Brush and Board Event

Another business that opened it's doors to Saugus students was Brush and Board.  The boys each made a Saugus Strong piece of wood to put in their rooms.

Glowhouse Gaming Event

Glowhouse gaming is a video game location where kids can play their favorite video games in an open area.  After the Saugus tragedy, I reached out to them since we have visited several times and asked if he would consider opening his doors for Saugus students.  Not only did he open his doors, he was open the whole week to support our students who needed a place to heal and have fun.  Ashton attended several days and Cameron came once when he wasn't working.

Cameron also got to do something he
enjoys, playing soccer with his mates.

Going back on campus

News crews, memorials and lots of traffic at school
I took Cameron back up to Saugus on Tuesday to do a walk around campus again since the shooting.  Ashton didn't feel the need to go, so I went with Cam and dropped off some posters that the Valencia high school band had made for us.  We were greeted in the band room (where the boys were at the time) with hugs from the staff and lots of support.  Cameron even went with a few other students to see other teachers.
It was such a positive experience and while not easy, it was a step in the right direction.
My school also created a poster for the students, as well as decorated the front of the school to support.

Bulldog Choir Performance

My little choir performed at the PTC meeting on Monday night.  The district superintendent was in attendance, so it was kind of a big deal!  We were mentioned later on facebook.  It was so special to hear children sing after such a hard couple days.

Me gushing for the parents.
