New Years Eve '17

Happy New Year!  We said goodbye to 2017 with the grandparents.  Games were played, a puzzle was put together and snacks were served!  Yum!  We rang in the new year with the east coast, the central time zone, and then headed home to get in bed!  I did wake up to fireworks that our neighborhood decided to shoot off at our new years.  Back to work soon!

Anniversary #21

 Derrik and I celebrated 21 years together yesterday!  We had a great day and took the older boys to see Star Wars and then went to dinner.  Such a great day!

 

Park Outing

Derrik, Cameron, Ashton and I took Sadie to the park to enjoy the lovely CA weather.  The boys got new frisbee's for Christmas, so we brought those.  The guys created some kind of soccer/frisbee game that kept them busy while Sadie and I walked.

Cameron's Learning Permit!

Cameron has been studying this break to take his driving permit test.  We went to the DMV and Cameron passed his test with flying colors!  Now he has 6 months to complete 6 hours of behind the wheel driving lessons and then he'll need to take an official driving test at the DMV.  I'm thankful I have 6 months to process another son driving!

Christmas!

We had a nice Christmas with presents, monkey bread, ham lunch and food coma naps!  It was amazing!

Christmas Eve

Ethan had to work, Cameron volunteered to work a camera at the Christmas Eve services, so Derrik, Ashton and I went to the service alone this year.  The candlelight service is our favorite!

After church, we headed home to relax and wait for Ethan to get off work to eat fondue and open some presents!

Santa's been here!

I bought each of the boys an ornament unique to their year: Ethan - graduating high school, Cameron - falling in love with photography, and Ashton - starting to play Zelda games.

New cars!

Our van went into the shop last week and needed far too much work, so we decided to trade it in for a newer car.  Merry Christmas to me!  We got a Honda CRV in a fabulous pretty red.  It's so nice compared to the van.

On another new car note, Ethan was also able to buy his first car this weekend!  He has been hunting for one for months and was finally able to find the car he was looking for.  He bought a 1999 Honda Civic Coupe and is very excited!

Ice Skating

I took Cameron and Ashton ice skating with the neighbor girls this weekend.  They are so funny to watch together!

Christmas Lights

We celebrated Christmas early with the older Hubbards which included walking around to look at Christmas lights, eating cheese and chocolate fondue, opening presents and enjoying the hot tub!  It's officially the celebration season!
