Halloween Happenings 2014

Carving, costumes and trunk-or-treating!  We spent Halloween up at our church being one of the cars in the trunk-or-treat area.  The older boys passed out candy and Ashton and I walked around collecting goodies.

High School/College T-Shirt Blanket

Mom sent my high school/college t-shirt blanket!  I can't even imagine how many hours she put into it!  So many memories.....I spread it out in the living room and walked each of the boys around it, sharing memories.  They weren't as impressed, but still interested.  Thank you, Mom!  I love it!

The boys and I had a few days off last week!  We didn't end up taking a trip since Derrik had to work.  I took them to the mall to do some painting, visit the massage chairs and then out to lunch with Derrik.

Cameron and his Beginning Band class performed a Halloween concert for us last week.  So proud of how well he's doing!

Ashton was a fabulous shopping companion last weekend!  We buried him in groceries!

Pumpkin Patch with the Marching Band

We joined the band at the pumpkin patch on Saturday.  We had fun watching the band and picking out pumpkins and riding the train!  No band post is complete without a video, so there are 2 at the end.  :)

Ashton Wins Award for Effort!

Ashton has started the year off strong by earning the Effort award at the first awards assembly of the school year!  So proud of him!

Ice Skating

 
 
Cameron and his 7th grade team went ice skating a few weeks ago.  Derrik and Ashton joined them and got in some skating, too!

TJ the Bulldog

Our school mascot is a bulldog and our statue was stolen a few years ago.  A generous family donated  a new one to us last week!  We're glad to have TJ back!

Hubbard Uncles in CA

Uncles Don and Dean came to California for a visit this week.  We went to dinner together last night and plan to see them a few more times before they head to CO to see Trent and family.  It was so fun to see them!

Family Football Game

Derrik and I both worked security at the football game Friday night so we brought the younger boys along for the fun.  Security involved guarding the seating area where the marching band sits so that no one can take their seats or their instruments during the game.  It was homecoming so there was no half-time show, but we did enjoy hearing the band play throughout the game!

Band Fundaiser

Ethan and the marching band are going on a trip in the Spring.  They are traveling to San Francisco and Sacramento.  Saturday's fundraiser was a bowl-a-thon!  If you're interested in donating, let me know.  There are more fundraisers to come! 

Soccer - here we go!

The soccer season has started for Cameron!  He's a part of the Dynasty team and is playing his first season on a U14 team.  He is playing goalie this year for the first time and is having a blast!

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

Visit from Blaze

One of the Colorado Hubbards came our way last week!  Blaze is a part of a traveling hockey team that was playing in a tournament in Anaheim.  Grandma and Grandpa grabbed him and we had dinner together.  It was fun seeing him again!

This cutie has been very patient with our new schedule!  He had school pictures last week and I got a quick pic after school.  Fourth grade is hard, but we're gonna get it!

More Band stuff!

I hung out at the football game last Friday working band security (I have a badge and I know how to use it).  I secure seating for the band so no one sits in their section.  The bonus is I got to listen to the band perform at half and listen to their stand shorts.  Fun night!!
