Birthday/Mother's Day

I had a great birthday on Wednesday and a lovely Mother's Day today!

Coffee with a friend, pedicure and hair done!

La La Land with the boys, Chinese food and brownies!

Ethan Singing

Ethan participated in his last choir concert and performance at the school this week.  It's been such a great experience for him and we're all glad he did it!

Ashton's Beginning Band Concert

Ashton and his fellow band members have been meeting since January and have made quite a bit of progress!  They played five songs at their concert Tuesday night.  We're proud of him and his hard work this semester!

Band Banquet 2017

We celebrated the band and color guard last night.  Ethan was awarded a plaque, a framed collection of his band photos and awarded a freshman "S" letter for his band jacket even though he wasn't in band his freshman year.  Cameron also got his "S" letter and both boys got a championship patch and a field show pin.  They did a nice slideshow honoring the seniors complete with baby pictures.  We had a great year with our new director!

Personalized band banquet tickets!

Ethan came late to the banquet since he was in Anaheim with
the choir at a festival.

The pretty corsage that all senior moms got.
Also, here is Ethan's picture in the program

SHS Pops Band Concert

Ethan and Cameron played in their last band concert together this week.  The theme was "movie music" and the band played music from Star Wars, Harry Potter and Fantasia.  It was a great concert!

Ethan's Senior Prom

Ethan and his girlfriend, Brisa, attended Prom last night.  Once arriving at the high school, the students were bused to the Ronald Reagan Library where the dance was being held!  He had a great time!

Laser Tag

Cameron

Cameron and Ethan tried out the new Laser Tag place at our neighbor's birthday party.  They looked like characters in Tron.

Ashton

Sports Day and Drum Lesson

Ashton and his 6th grade classmates had Sports Day on Thursday.  Kickball, handball, sideline soccer and dodgeball were played.  Ashton was on the green team and they came in 4th place out of 8 teams.  Ash even scored a goal!  He finished the afternoon off with a drum lesson since he was the only percussionist that showed up for band.  He had a blast!

Choir Festival

We attended a festival at our church where all the junior high and high school choirs in the Santa Clarita Valley performed for each other.  It was so great!

Aunt Sonja's CA visit

We had a lovely visit with Aunty Sonja this last weekend!  She was in California to help Uncle Rollo while Aunt Gretchen has knee surgery.  She got all caught up on each of the boys and heard a lot of music!

Fiddler on the Roof

My high school boys took me as their date to see Saugus High school's performance of "Fiddler on the Roof."  The pit orchestra was made up of some of their band mates.  I was really impressed with the show and the boys loved it, too!

Easter 2017

We had a lovely Easter!  We attended church and then had a great lunch with the grandparents.  No Easter egg hunts but there were baskets of chocolate!

Ashton's Class Field Trip

Ashton and his class went on a field trip to the Channel Islands Maritime Museum in Oxnard this week.  They boarded a boat and came face to face with sea stars, spiny sea urchins, and octupus!
