Mother's Day

I spent most of the day traveling but after I arrived in CA, Derrik and the guys (minus Ethan, who was working) swooped me up and took me out to dinner!

Sisters and Don

Don was our superhero this week and even organized some
the drawers in Dad's toolbox!  Yay!

Birthday in Kansas

I spent my 44th birthday in Kansas this year with family!  I had a great day!  Beautiful flowers and sweet texts from home made being away from them easier.  Dinner with Mom was great!

Came home to a lot of great cards!

Emergency Kansas trip

Singing to Dad
I headed to KS on Tuesday of this last week to visit Dad who was very sick in the hospital.

Band Banquet

We celebrated the ending of the band year last night at the annual banquet.  Cameron earned his sophomore medallion and we honored the hard work of all the band during the season.  Our director is leaving this year, so we also end the year with sadness and excitement about what the next year looks like.  Ethan came and sat with Brisa, who is finishing her senior year in color guard.  A fun night!

May the Fourth be with you!

Ashton and I sported our Star Wars t-shirts to school on Friday to celebrate May 4th!  I even did a steady beat lesson with little pool noodle/light sabers with one of my classes.  May the Fourth be with you!

Hubbard Men at the Avengers Movie!

The guys all headed off to see the Avengers movie together this week!  I got to have some quiet time at home after a long week and enjoyed the quiet.

Pops Concert 2018

Cameron held his final band concert for his sophomore year last night!  He sat so handsome in his first chair position.  They played "Heroes and Villians" music and it was fabulous!  Proud of him!

Drum Circle Monday

It was Teacher Appreciation week at school this week.  I moved my classroom drums to the Multipurpose room at school to lead some of my classes through a drum circle on Monday!  It was fun to have a change of scenery and space.  Ethan came and helped me lead a few groups through some loud and soft rumbles!
A highlight of the week was receiving a donation of buckets from Home Depot to create bucket drumming lessons with my students!
