Gifts for the Graduate

We gave Cameron one of our gifts to him following the virtual ceremony.  We had asked a band family friend if he could create a lamp out of Cameron's old clarinet.
Backstory - the clarinet was basically trash.  The music store told us it was beyond repair and it was worthless.  I couldn't imagine throwing it away and set out on a mission to give it a new purpose.  Mike Richter saved it and created something beyond what I was expecting!  Cameron loved it!

The evening held a wonderful meal at the grandparents where Cameron had an ice cream cake and received a card and gift from them.

Last was Ashton's gift to him, a drawing he created
of Cameron.

Virtual Graduation Ceremony

We gathered again Thursday morning to watch the virtual graduation!  It was long - but what graduation isn't?  We shared a shout-out for Cameron and then sat through all his friends and also many of my former classmates graduate.  It was well done!

Virtual Band Banquet

We tuned in for the virtual band banquet Wednesday night.  It wasn't quite the same, but we had fun celebrating the band kids.  We brought dinner in and enjoyed a fun night!

We got our last and final sign delivered!

Backdrop Photos

The school hung a backdrop up for families to come up and get photos.  We pretended like we were going to a "real" graduation and got some great photos!

Making Signs for the Drive-Thru Graduation

Cameron helped me make some signs for the van we're borrowing for the drive-thru graduation.  We needed to borrow a van because we are only allowed one car per family and we don't all fit in one of ours.  Our sweet neighbor not only lent us their van, but helped us create a cardboard graduation hat that will be tied on top!  It's going to be great!
