Valentine's Date

 Derrik and I went out Monday afternoon to celebrate a belated Valentine's Day.  We ran into a lot of people that had the same idea!  We had a great time!!

Jim and Joanna Palacas

 We lost Joanna Palacas on January 28th.   She is Joy's (my sister-in-law) mother.  She was 89 years old and we are so grateful we got to spend time with her last September at Stone's wedding.  She was also at our wedding.  We're sad she's gone but are so thankful to have known her.

Jim joined her 14 days later, on February 11th.  He was 90 years old.  Bittersweet, for sure.  

Superbowl Celebration

 We gathered with the parents tonight and celebrated the Superbowl - not the outcome we'd hoped for but we enjoyed being together!  Pizza and cookies are a great way to celebrate a great season by the Chiefs.  Our highlight of the evening was watching Ashton do the "Blinded Lights" dance (from Fortnite) during the halftime show!

Cameron's Quilt is here!

 Mom pulled off a miracle by creating a HUGE quilt filled with Cameron's high school t-shirts!  Wow!  He is in love and so glad to not only have a new blanket but one filled with so many great memories.  Thank you, Mom!

Two more sets of wisdom teeth - gone!

 Both Ethan and Ashton got their wisdom teeth out this last week, three days a part!  They did great and as a household, we're pretty good at knowing the rules/requirements of recovery.  Feels good to have that done!

 Ethan got his haircut again this week!  I honestly like it either way....he looks handsome!

Adventures of the Traveling Puzzle

 I got Stephanie's puzzle and while initially comfuddled ;) , I was able to get it put it together over three evenings.  It was fun and challenging and perfect!  Now, it's on to Kristin!  

Ashton's 16th Birthday!

 I'm not sure how it happened, but our baby is 16!  And he's amazing!  He had a great birthday!

 Cameron got his wisdom teeth removed this week and managed it pretty well!  He was pretty loopy after the procedure and gave us a great video while he came off his "high."  Glad that's over with!

 "What's that?  I'm pretty sure I heard you wrong.  Did you ask to vacuum?"  After we got the Christmas tree taken down, Ashton volunteered to do the vacuuming.  That was nice!
