Last week for marching band rehearsals!

Derrik #49

 We had a great celebration honoring Derrik on his #49!  He chose to serve on the music team at church in the morning and we had Chinese for lunch.  Lots of yummy food and cake!

Oxnard Competition - Oxnard, CA (Senior Day)

 It's Oxnard Day, Senior Day and Beach Day!  Whew!  We scored a 79.4 at the Oxnard competition and then treated the band and our seniors to a fried chicken lunch.  The seniors were honored and each received a certificate from the State of California Assembly.  Very special day!  We finished off our time by taking the students to the beach.

Valencia Competition - Valencia, CA

 We had a weekday competition this week locally at Valencia High School.  We didn't score our highest (72.7) but had a rough show due to the high winds.  I ended up helping with props and we had permission to stay on the field (as long as we were hidden) to make sure things didn't blow over onto students.  Ethan and Cameron were nice enough to give up their Friday to help out as well!

Centennial Competition - Bakersfield, CA

 This weekend we were in Bakersfield, CA watching the band and colorguard perform at the Centennial competition!  We scored a 81.25, which is our highest score yet!
