Bathroom update and remodel completed!

The master bathroom project started with painting, then finishing tiling around the shower, striping the cabinets and refinishing them and now, (whew) we're done!  We love the new look!  A big thank you to Derrik's dad who helped.

"Pop the Bottle" Drum Warm-up Composition

Ashton had to write a drum warm-up for percussion class and turned it in this week.  It turned out pretty good!

Ashton gets his braces off!

We crossed a huge dental finish line last week when Ashton got his braces off!  Whoo hoo!  He will be in retainers full time for the next month and then will graduate to only wearing them at night.  He looks so handsome and has worked so hard to only eat certain foods and take care of his teeth.  His smile has sure come a long way!  We brought lunch in to celebrate!

His teeth in the summer of 2018,
before four teeth were removed.

First smile without!

Sadie the House Guest

While we were in Colorado, Sadie was the guest dog at a friends house.  They have a dog named Alfred,  and the two dogs had fun together!  We got one video of them playing and several photos of her adventures.  I'm also attaching a picture of her puppy collection - each one has a hole from all the playing and chewing she does!

Colorado Trip Day 3 - Last Day

We spent our last morning with Trent, Joy and family with a yummy brunch.  The boys played some ping-pong and each shared a bit of what they love - Ethan shared his audio recordings of Grandpa Hubbard's album, Cameron shared the drone video from the night before's wedding reception, and Ashton played the drums.  We had a great time just chatting and hanging out.

From there, we said our goodbyes and went to meet Elizabeth and Ken!  So fun to see them and their cute house!

Stephanie's package arrived!

Then off to the airport!  We were on the same flight home as the parents!  Ethan caught a cool video of our landing into LA.

Colorado Trip Day 2 - Wedding Day

We woke up and had a quick breakfast at Denny's and then headed to the house to help Joy set up a lunch for the groomsmen and bridesmaids at the venue.  After that, we headed to the hotel to rest and then get ready for the wedding.  The ceremony was quick and beautiful and we then took some family photos.  The reception was so fun - great BBQ and dancing!

Colorado Trip Day 1

We spent Tuesday night at a hotel in LA and got up early Wednesday to head to the airport.  Masks were worn the entire flight and the center seat stayed open to space people apart.  Since we were family, we squished together!  Only water was served and a bag of snacks.  Ethan and Cameron did homework on the plane.  Two hours later, we were in Colorado!  We picked up our rental car and headed to the Hubbards house.  After lunch, Cameron, Ashton and I helped Sage create a "Just Married" sign for Stone and Reilly's car after the wedding.

After checking into our hotel and resting, we got fancied up and headed over to Joy's parents house to attend the rehearsal dinner in their backyard.  It was a fun day!

New Job Details

My position at the district this fall is still a bit of a mystery.  I will eventually be planning the online music program for students but until then, I sit and wait.  I have my own cubicle and desk to sit.  I hope the details get ironed out soon so I can do what I'm good at.
