 Cameron and his team played well today winning their game 4-1.  The highlight today was Derrik starring as assistant referee!

Cameron Soccer Star

Cameron had his first game last Saturday!  He sure learned a lot and we enjoyed watching him play.  The team lost the game but it was just a practice.  He had fun so we're happy.  We got his pictures in the mail tonight and had to share!

I don't get in photos much.  My role is behind the camera.  I take that role willingly because I love taking photos of my family.  But, every now and then, I get in a photo and those photos are so special to me.  They're also special because if I'm lucky, the boy won't be making a goofy face.

Cameron hits the big 1-0!

We celebrated Cameron all weekend long with a sleepover on Friday and dinner out last night in honor of his birthday!  Is he really 10?  Wow.  Happy Birthday buddy!  We love you!

First Days 2011

We successfully survived our first days back at school!  Both Cameron and Ashton returned to our familiar campus and Ethan stepped onto the junior high campus.  Everyone had a great first few days.  We're still struggling to get out the door on time and getting into a routine after school, but we'll get there.

Soccer Clinic

Cameron went to his first soccer clinic last week.  He got a good workout learning new drills!  Tonight he finds out more about his team, the practice and game times and meet his coach.  Here we go....it's soccer time!

Golfing and Driving

Dad took us out to the golf course to practice his game.  :)  Cameron and Ethan got to drive the golf carts around while we hunted for the ball!  They had so much fun!  Ashton and I were on the cheering squad.

July 4th

 We went to Apple Valley to celebrate July 4th with the grandparents this year.  We went to Derrik's cousins house and had a cookout and the boys went swimming.  There was a rainstorm that came through which was a nice touch for the desert!  Ashton fell asleep and missed the fireworks.  We had a lovely visit!

VBS 2011

Crazy hair day!

 We finished off another year of VBS at our church last week.  Ethan spent his first year being an assistant table leader for me and did a great job!  Ashton was at our table in the 1st grade room and we had a lot of fun.  His little buddy from school, Andrew, was at our table as well.  Cameron was in the 4th grade room and also had a nice week.  The theme was Beach Bash, so we spent the week in flip-flops and lifeguard shirts.

How do we honor such a special guy?  We served him breakfast in bed and then let him sleep in a little longer!  :)  We just hung around the house until later in the day when we went to the mall and walked around.  The boys rode the carousel, Derrik picked out a new shirt and then we headed home.  We love you, Derrik!  Happy Father's Day to all!

As the phone starts ringing with playdate invitations, I found myself alone with Ashton this afternoon and we took the opportunity to just play together.  We hunted for lizards, which he loved!  We played ball in the front for awhile and he pulled out a pose for me!  Good times....
