A Christmas Carol

We attended a showing of A Christmas Carol last night at the Glendale Center Theatre!  A great show and a fun memory!

Ice Skating

I brought Cameron and Ashton out to do some ice skating this weekend.  We met our neighbor girls there.  These two like have adopted little sisters - just for a little bit!

Holiday Performance

The forecast for Friday was rain so it looked like our little outdoor school show might be cancelled.  The program was then rescheduled for Thursday morning, which was our dress rehearsal day!  Ashton's last holiday recital in elementary school.  Here are some photos from the day:

Holiday Recital at SCE

The choir and piano students had their holiday recital on Tuesday night.  It was extra fun this year because I asked the guys if they'd all play an instrument to accompany one of the songs!  They did great!

Saturday Happenings

This last Saturday, Derrik and I did some tag teaming to keep up with our boys!  I had a kids choir performance to direct at the schools Santa Breakfast and then raced home to get Ethan and Ashton so we could go to Ethan's choir performance at the senior living center in town.  Derrik and Cameron headed to Cameron's first game with the Saugus Frosh (Freshman and Sophomore) soccer team!  Yes, Cameron was a late edition to the team as a back-up goal keeper.  While the schedule and practices have been challenging, he is enjoying the experience.  He played two games and they won both!  A busy day but very fun!

Ethan Christmas Concert

The Saugus High School Concert Choir put on a lovely show for us Thursday night!  I included a quick video from one of their songs.

Candlelight Processional Christmas Concert

Ethan and the 300 member choir sang in two concerts Saturday night.  Gennifer Goodwin was the narrator and read Scripture throughout.  There was an orchestra and a bell choir as well!  We didn't get a great view as everyone was standing to see.  But the music and concert were amazing!
I caught a few pics of Ethan coming down Main Street with the choir but couldn't see him from where we were standing.  We did find a video of the concert if you want to see any of it.  Ethan is in the far right corner and is hidden behind a tree.  :P  Enjoy!

Disneyland

 
We had an amazing opportunity to go to Disneyland on Saturday!  Ethan and the Saugus High School Concert Choir were chosen among other choir to perform in the Candlelight Processional Christmas concert that they hold there every year.  It was Ashton's first time since he was 2!  Cameron and Ethan have both been a handful of times but Derrik, Ashton and I haven't been since 2007.
We had such a great day!  It was extremely busy but we made the most of our time there.  The grandparents came as well.

Sadie Adventures

We had some work done on our bathroom shower this week and the company doesn't allow dogs to be in the house while the worker is there.  So Sadie went over to the grandparents place and had a great time!

Christmas Tree

Yep!  We got the Christmas tree up today!  The boys were very helpful and set things up so fast.  Now we get to start enjoying it!
