Now that Cameron won tickets for the upcoming Galaxy soccer season, he and Derrik attended an event just for season ticket holders.  They met and got autographs from several players!

Out of town visitors

Wilma and Sonja came into town this last week to visit!  They both escaped the frozen midwest only to find a winter front with rain came through and made things chilly (for us, at least).  We had a great time seeing them and took them to In-N-Out for dinner!

Monday park trip!

We took another trip to our local park to fine-tune our frisbee skills!  We enjoyed a nice day off with beautiful weather!

Ashton's 13th Birthday!

Ashton is 13!!  He had an early celebration with the grandparents and then the morning of his birthday, opened some presents over pancakes and went to school.  Boo.....  Derrik took him out for lunch and then we all gathered at home after school for more presents and then out to dinner as a family.  He had a great day and loves being 13!

shocked when he opened the package - it was great!

Cameron and Derrik have done one driving lesson and Cam is now driving himself to school with Derrik.  He's on his way! 

Griffith Observatory

On Cameron's winter break bucket list was a trip to the Griffith Observatory to take photos of L.A. at sunset.  We got there just in time to see most of the skyline was covered in clouds.  Cameron got some great photos, though.  A fun outing before we headed back to school!

New Years Eve '17

Happy New Year!  We said goodbye to 2017 with the grandparents.  Games were played, a puzzle was put together and snacks were served!  Yum!  We rang in the new year with the east coast, the central time zone, and then headed home to get in bed!  I did wake up to fireworks that our neighborhood decided to shoot off at our new years.  Back to work soon!

Anniversary #21

 Derrik and I celebrated 21 years together yesterday!  We had a great day and took the older boys to see Star Wars and then went to dinner.  Such a great day!

 

Park Outing

Derrik, Cameron, Ashton and I took Sadie to the park to enjoy the lovely CA weather.  The boys got new frisbee's for Christmas, so we brought those.  The guys created some kind of soccer/frisbee game that kept them busy while Sadie and I walked.

Cameron's Learning Permit!

Cameron has been studying this break to take his driving permit test.  We went to the DMV and Cameron passed his test with flying colors!  Now he has 6 months to complete 6 hours of behind the wheel driving lessons and then he'll need to take an official driving test at the DMV.  I'm thankful I have 6 months to process another son driving!

Christmas!

We had a nice Christmas with presents, monkey bread, ham lunch and food coma naps!  It was amazing!
