Open House for Ashton

We attended a lunch band concert for Ashton and then attended his open house!  His teachers love him and he's doing awesome!  Cameron came along and went and visited a few of his favorite teachers.

Derrik and Cameron have been following the Kstate basketball team and keeping me in the loop on how they're doing.  They usually call me to watch the last two minutes of the game with them!  Cameron and I wore our spirit gear to celebrate their victory!

High School Open House

Derrik and I followed Cameron around in the rain last night to see his classrooms at Open House!  He had some work up on the wall in both his Chemistry and Spanish 2 classrooms.  All his teachers say he's awesome!

Cameron Spring Concert

Cameron and the Concert Band performed their spring concert on Wednesday night!  Not only was Cameron first chair, he had a solo!  He did so well and we're very proud!

Ashton's changing!

Ashton has grown so much during this school year!  It was even more obvious when spring pictures came home and we could compare it with his fall picture.  It doesn't show the height change but his face sure looks different!

Epps from Kansas

More family visits from Kansas!  Yippee!  Paul and Kathy Epp, from Hillsboro, traveled west and we were along their route!  We shared stories and had a great night reconnecting.  It's been at least 15 years since we've seen them.

Soccer season begins!

Derrik and Cameron are gearing up for the MLS Soccer season with their Galaxy season tickets Cameron won!  They have been heading down to home games every weekend or so.  I enjoy getting photos from the game, including the ones where they're cold!

Magic Mountain Day

We were invited by friends to Magic Mountain for our day off school and had a great day walking around and riding rides!

Valentine's Day

We had a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Derrik and I went out for our date the night before to avoid the crowds.  We enjoyed a nice morning with Valentine's treats and made a big dinner at home with everyone and apple pie for dessert!  Yum!  A great day!

Weekend Concerts

Over the weekend, we went to two different concerts!  In Ontario, we saw TobyMac and friends in the Hits Deep tour.  Then on Monday, we went to a local church to see Matt Maher.  Ethan missed out on both concerts due to work, but the rest of us went and had so much fun!

Honor Band Auditions

Cameron participated in a district-wide honor band auditions over the weekend.  It is hard to get into honor band but the audition also determines seat placement in band for the upcoming semester.  Guess who got first clarinet chair in the Concert band?  Cameron!  It's been a hard year for him in band but he's hung in there and worked hard!  Congrats, Cam!

Now that Cameron won tickets for the upcoming Galaxy soccer season, he and Derrik attended an event just for season ticket holders.  They met and got autographs from several players!
