Forum Festival for Trinity Classical Academy Chorister Choir

I took my choir of 1-2 graders from Trinity to the Forum Choir festival in Fullerton, CA on Friday!  We earned a Silver award and one of my soloists earned an Outstanding Musician award!

Dodger Night

Derrik was given some box seats at Dodger stadium this week and took Cameron for a game!  All you can eat food and drink!  The Dodgers lost but it was an experience they'll never forget.

Classified Award Reception

I was honored along with several other winners at a reception at the district office.  My principal, Mr. Korie, read a wonderful speech and I got to meet everyone currently serving on the school board.  Derrik came as my guest and we celebrated afterwards with dinner.  It was a great night! 

I also got my name up on the Santa Clarita Elementary sign (look mom, my name is in lights!!) 

Decker Drive-thru

Suzanne and Danielle came through on Friday to join us for dinner as they make their way up to Seattle!  It was fun hanging out for a bit!

Ashton's Band at Disneyland

The Advanced band took a trip to Disneyland on Friday!  They attended a recording session and learned to play several Disney tunes.  Derrik took the day off to go along and got to ride some rides with Ashton and his group.  Looks like fun!

Easter 2019

We had a great Easter with baskets filled with candy and presents, church service and lunch with family! 

We had vrennika and brats, asparagus, butterhorns -
lots of food!

Ethan's Project

Ethan is half-way through his sound engineering program and turned in his first project.  He got it graded and shared his teacher's comments.

"Wow!  This is really good!  You did a great job on the sound design!  One of the best Sine-wave projects I've heard!"

SCSBOA Solo and Ensemble Festival

Cameron and his fellow woodwinds from the Wind Ensemble participated in the SCSBOA Ensemble Festival on Saturday!  They got a Superior rating and we were there to see it!

Cameron's new job

Cameron's has a new job!  He's been hired to work at church, doing was he already does on the weekends.  He's been hired as a tech assistant and works part time, assisting the tech directors and setting things up for services and special events.  He's thrilled!

Gustafson's visit!

Steve, Kristin and boys visited California this last week and we met them for dinner on Wednesday night!  It was great to see them!

Classified Employee of the Year Award

I was awarded a classified employee of the year at my school!  I was on the ballot but didn't expect to win.  It's a great honor!
