Mother's Day/Birthday Combo 2020

I was treated to a lovely Mother's Day potted orchid and a sweet card from my guys.  Then we headed over to the Grandparents (masks included) and had a birthday meal of bierocks, sausages and potatoes, plus birthday cake.  Derrik surprised me with one more present: new cushions for two our patio chairs!  Now, they match my new chair.  Our backyard is ready for summer!

More Birthday Fun!

The guys went all out to make the day special for me!  Roses, coffee, social media posts, handwritten notes and a cool portrait Cameron arranged to have drawn of us.  So special!

Going to the Poppies!

We celebrated my birthday a little early on Saturday and taking a trip to see the poppies!  We drove towards Palmdale and after some adventurous turns and shortcuts, we found a spot outside the park that we were able to walk to.  The official park was closed but there was lots of cars exploring it anyway.  It was lots of fun!  We threw in a trip to Sonic since it was close by.
We finished the night by bringing dinner in, eating in the backyard and watching a movie.

This week, I signed "an intent to return" letter for work and also had my yearly evaluation.  I "exceed expectations" which was nice!  I created another set of videos for my students.

New Chair for Birthday

I ordered my birthday gift early hoping it would arrive on time.  It arrived early!  Derrik assembled it like a champ and now I have a really nice chair to sit in the backyard.  It's relaxing to sit in, too!

Last of the Yard Signs!

The last of the yard signs officially arrived!  Cameron now has his own shrine in the front yard!!  lol

Quarantine Week 7: April 27th

This week we did "neck trims," I made another blanket and tried out the new coffee trend - dalgona whipped coffee.  Cameron helped me with another week of videos!  Four weeks of my video lessons down, two more to go!

Cameron Get Adopted and a Post on Instagram

Cameron had a fun week as he was adopted by a former teacher of Ethan's, got a drive-by visit from the church youth group and then was highlighted on the high school's instagram page!  Wow!

Cameron's New Car

Cameron bought a car last weekend!  Wow!  He got 2010 Toyota Corolla and got a great deal on it.  He's worked hard and saved over the last year and used all of his own money!  Yay, Cameron!

Donuts and Other stuff

This week we had donuts and I made another blanket.  School happened in spurts, with boys having different projects due on different days.  I created another set of videos for week 3 of optional music at school.

Dressing Up for a Birthday Video

This week we filmed a video for our neighbors's 15th birthday.  I talked Ashton into wearing the Napoleon Dynamite wig and glasses and I pulled my Dorothy wig out of the closet and we did a little song for her.  So silly!
